How to Dedicate
How to Dedicate
Every item is labeled with name tag & your specified name(s) to ensure that the merits are dedicated directly according to the nameplate.
In addition, dedicating merit from an online offering can be done in two ways. Whether you choose to "pour water into a container (traditional water pouring practice)" or simply "join your hands in prayer and focus your mind,". In beliefs, the most important element is your "pure intention and a faithful heart" at the moment of dedication.
To make it easy for you to practice, you can choose from the methods below:

Method 1: The Water Pouring Practice (Using Water as a Medium)
This traditional method is ideal for those who wish to calm their mind, using water as a symbol of an uninterrupted stream of merit flowing to the receivers.
How to Practice:
- Prepare clean water in a bottle (could be tap water) or container, along with a cup or bowl to catch the water.
- You can begin the pouring process right away.
- Slowly pour the water into the receiving cup, keeping the stream steady and unbroken.
- While pouring, you can softly speak your dedication, such as: "May this merit reach myself, my guardian angels, my parents, (or anyone else you wish to dedicate to)."
- Once you finish pouring and the water is completely transferred, take the container (cup) and pour the water onto the ground at the base of a large tree outside. This acts as a symbolic gesture of entrusting Mother Earth (Phra Mae Thorani) and the tree spirits to deliver your merits.

Method 2: In-Your-Mind Dedication (Waterless โ Perfect for Convenience)
If preparing water is inconvenient, you can simply join your hands in prayer, close your eyes, and focus your mind. Visualize the items you offered online, then pray and dedicate your merit. (This is known as "Pattidanamaya"โmerit gained by sharing or radiating your good deeds to others). This method does not require water, you only speak softly of dedication.
Example of Dedication:
"Today, I dedicate the merits from making this offering... (mention your items, e.g., Sanghadana and essential items)... May this merit reach myself, my parents, as well as my guardian angels, and the house/office deities. Through the power of this good deed, may I experience only happiness, prosperity, and blessings in my life."

๐ก Bonus Tips for Online Merit Making
The moment you transfer the money, or when the team sends you the photo updates of the offering, take a moment to look at the photos. Let your heart feel joyful and pleased, knowing that those items are now serving the monks or recipients. Then, join your hands and say "Sadhu" (Amen) immediately. This seals the joy of your good deed directly into your heart, yielding a peaceful mind and powerful spiritual results.

Your Merit, Your Heart Account
When making merit online, service provider or coordinator acts solely as your "representative or messenger" to deliver the items on your behalf. However, the true "owner of the merit" and the one who provided the support is you.
